Two young people – Ada and Kevin, both into the Arts. They are visiting Ellen Terry's house. They are surprised to find no-one at the door but as they enter, they hear a voice from upstairs. They go up, thinking they will find an official. They are intrigued by how authentic to the period the house is, even to the point of a glass of gin sitting on a side table. Ellen Terry enters. She seems downcast and unhappy and at first Kevin and Ada cannot communicate with her. They watch ET as she knocks back her drink, lifts her petticoat, pushes objects on a table etc. all nerves and distress.
