From poetry to performance, music to visual storytelling, Eurydice towards the Light is an ode to the mythology of Eurydice, revisited through portraits of modern day women, their voices and stories.
The greek myth portrays a silenced Eurydice confined in Hades’ Kingdom, waiting on Orpheus to come bring her out of darkness. But Orpheus turned around too soon, and she disappears forever, loving forever, waiting forever.

Yet, what happens if the modern Eurydices find their own way towards the lights, carve a new path and refuse the silence? They speak, dance, sing, and turn their love into creation. Just as the myth adresses the power of the arts, expressing love and loss, questioning dark and light, this series adresses the merging of creative mediums, to push the power of expression beyond Eurydice’s curse. This project honors love’s complexity and the indomitable spirit of women finding strength in the face of heartbreak. Celebrating the enduring capacity for healing and renewal. From one protagonist to the next, the storytelling unfolds towards a healing place, where feelings are crystallized into the realm of sisterhood and spirituality. 

These Eurydices will go through the back and forth of raw emotions, from darkened places to the urge for light, Parisian streets to mountain heights, taking the viewers alongside a poetical journey, where words echo the value of visual expression, until one day they shall say:

« Sleep tight my Eurydice, we found a way of rewriting your myth ».
